Job description Supervise and manage daily operations of the Histopathology laboratory, ensuring smooth workflow and timely reporting. Lead and coordinate a team of laboratory technicians, ensuring adherence to laboratory protocols and quality standards. Develop, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory processes. • Ensure compliance with NABL accreditation requirements and ISO 15189 standards. • Oversee quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) programs for all histopathology procedures. • Participation and coordination of External Quality Assurance Scheme (EQAS) programs as per National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories guidelines • Monitoring and documentation of Inter-Laboratory Comparison (ILC) programs for performance evaluation • Manage procurement, budgeting, and inventory control of reagents, chemicals, and laboratory equipment. • Coordinate with pathologists and clinicians for accurate diagnosis and timely report delivery. • Conduct staff training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations. • Maintain laboratory documentation including QC logs, temperature records, equipment calibration records, and audit documentation.
