In this role, you will lead high-performing consulting teams tasked with advising corporate boards, Chief Risk Officers (CROs), and founders on how to architect resilient operational environments. You will look beyond retroactive checklist compliance to design forward-looking Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) models, stress-testing programs, and automated risk governance frameworks. Navigating a rapidly shifting regulatory backdrop, you will ensure our clients scale safely while seamlessly integrating RBI supervisory mandates, Basel capital requirements, and emerging ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) risk parameters into their DNA. Key Responsibilities 1. Client Engagement Leadership & Framework Architecture Own Complex Deliveries: Act as the primary engagement lead overseeing multiple concurrent client projects, taking responsibility for timeline integrity, resource assignment, and high-quality deliverables. Bespoke ERM Blueprinting: Design custom, enterprise-wide risk management programs tailored to specific client business models (e.g., co-lending platforms, asset reconstruction firms, retail banks). Control Transformation: Lead deep-dive diagnostic evaluations on client operating models, modernizing traditional Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) engines using automated tracking triggers. 2. Strategic Regulatory Advisory RBI Mandate Implementation: Serve as a subject-matter expert on evolving regulatory horizons. Translate complex mandates—such as RBI guidelines on Digital Lending, Outsourcing, IT & Cyber Security Risks, and Risk-Based Internal Audit (RBIA)—into concrete, technical transition roadmaps for clients. Supervisory Simulation Audits: Lead mock regulatory inspections (shadow audits) to evaluate client readiness for formal Annual Financial Inspections (AFI) or Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) reviews by the regulator. 3. Operational Resilience, Analytics & Emerging Risks FinTech Integration Risk Advisory: Evaluate the safety of client third-party tech stacks, data lineage pipelines, and algorithmic underwriting model inputs. ESG Risk Modeling Governance: Assist client boards in building foundational governance frameworks to assess, measure, and report climate-related and environmental operational risks. BCP & DR Strategy: Oversee the review and optimization of clients' Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and crisis management response manuals against severe operational or system shocks. 4. Business Development & Team Leadership Proposal Writing (RFPs): Identify emerging market opportunities, author highly technical consulting proposals, and actively present pitch presentations to win new corporate accounts. Talent Mentorship: Actively manage, train, and accelerate the career progression of a team of senior risk consultants and analysts, ensuring a high standard of professional technical excellence. Required Qualifications & Skills Education & Experience Degree: MBA in Finance/Operations from a Tier-1/2 business school, Chartered Accountant (CA), or Master's degree in Economics/Corporate Law. Experience: 5 to 9 years of dedicated experience in Risk Advisory Consulting, Corporate Governance Advisory, Process Risk Auditing, or Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Technical & Functional Knowledge Framework Mastery: Absolute conceptual and practical mastery of the COSO ERM framework, ISO 31000, Basel III structural guidelines, and global internal control philosophies. Digital Infrastructure Fluency: Strong understanding of API-driven banking rails, data-warehouse structures, and algorithmic decision models. Advanced command of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel for building boardroom-ready diagnostic reports. Regulatory Domain Expert: High-level familiarity with the Reserve Bank of India’s supervisory expectations, corporate governance guidelines, and data protection regulations. Soft Skills C-Suite Gravitas: Exceptional interpersonal presence, presentation skills, and professional vocabulary required to present complex control deficiencies to client boards and defend recommendations under intense pushback. Structured Thinking: Ability to take a highly ambiguous, chaotic operational breakdown at a client firm and break it down into a clear, prioritized root-cause matrix. Commercial Drive: Strong understanding of consulting economics, project margins, and business-development fundamentals. Preferred Certifications (Highly Valued) FRM (Financial Risk Manager) by GARP or PRM (Professional Risk Manager) designations. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
