Job description Focus: Remediating Java-based application vulnerabilities. Key Responsibilities: Remediate vulnerabilities in Java-based applications, including those related to the Spring framework. Upgrade outdated or vulnerable libraries and dependencies in Maven/Gradle projects. Apply secure coding practices to fix vulnerabilities and prevent future occurrences. Collaborate with senior developers and security analysts to understand vulnerability details and implement effective fixes. Write unit tests to validate that remediation efforts have not introduced regressions. Mandatory Skills: Java Development: 3-8 years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of the Spring Boot framework. Dependency Management: Proficiency with Maven or Gradle for managing project dependencies. Secure Coding: Knowledge of secure coding principles and experience in remediating common vulnerabilities. REST APIs: Experience working with REST APIs and understanding of API security best practices. Version Control: Strong proficiency with Git for managing code and pull requests.
