Job description Roles and Responsibilities : Manage raw material procurement process from vendor development to final delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply chain management. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, negotiate prices, terms, and conditions for raw materials purchases. Oversee inventory management systems to optimize stock levels, reduce waste, and minimize costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements in raw material sourcing and logistics. To timely procure and make available all Engineering/ Packing Material/ Process Chemicals/ Consumables for smooth operation of Production/ Packing activity. Ensure close monitoring of vendor performance to encourage a continuous improvement culture. Take the lead in identifying new, more reliable and / or lower cost resources of supply. Efficient management of inventories including tracking of non-moving. Comply with laid down SOP in the procurement and set-up new systems & fine tune existing one to meet requirements of the business. Function as a team player to implement end to end solutions across the supply chain, including interactions with the demand planning, manufacturing, logistics, vendors & other external agencies. Maintain updated information records and price masters in SAP/System at all times. Generation of appropriate MIS and analytics on a regular basis to support performance management systems. Responsible for resolution of all issues related to quality, specifications, revalidations, damages/losses, etc. Job Requirements : 10-15 years of experience in textile & apparel industry with expertise in raw material procurement. Strong knowledge of fabric types, suppliers, pricing structures, and market trends. Excellent negotiation skills with ability to build strong relationships with vendors. Proven track record of improving operational efficiency through effective supply chain management.
