Job description Job Responsibilities- 1. Manage / supervise the assembly lines of switchgear and Distribution Boards. 2. Follow the production schedule strictly 3. Guide assembly workers to improve productivity and quality. 4. Identify production bottlenecks and correct them, use assistance of relevant department if needed5 5. Continually strive for improved processes, productivity and reduction in manufacturing lead times and improved quality. 6. Escalate and apply disciplinary measures where cooperative attitude from workers is not apparent. 7. Ensure that production and labour reporting is accurate and timely. 8. Monitor and reduce cost of quality and poor quality. 9. Ensure material movements to assure delivery schedule adherence. 10. Ensure customer delivery schedules are adhered by interfacing / coordinating with relevant departments. 11. Assign and train production workers for correct methods of production. 12. Maintain assembly department floor, machines and work stations in neat, clean and well organized manner. 13. Inculcate Kaizen culture among all employees. 14. Maintain machines, Jigs, fixtures, gages in healthy working order to avoid production stoppages and assure quality production. Skills / Knowledge desired Good knowledge of manufacturing, assembly testing processes. Good leadership and communication skills Problem Solving and analysis skills. Quality control and quality problem solving skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as Kaizens, TPM, Poka-Yoke, 5S, Visual management, Cellular concept. Skills / Knowledge desired Through knowledge of Products & production processes and techniques Update on latest developments in production technologies Well versed with process improvement techniques Well versed with Quality Systems, Processes, and Tool & Techniques. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques such as Kaizens, TPM, Poka-Yoke, 5S, Visual management, Cellular concept. Ability to devise and deploy Quality Strategies, Plans & Programs. Ability to plan and organize effectively and to use Methodical approaches to complex problem.
