Location: Pune Experience: 35 Years Employment Type: Full Time Industry: Automotive / Pneumatics / Hydraulics Job Summary We are looking for a driven Product Engineering professional to lead and support new product development and design improvement initiatives. The role involves working across the full product lifecycle—from concept to validation and pre-production—while ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities Product Development Lead/support concept, planning, design, and execution of new products and enhancements Create 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation Conduct risk assessment and design reviews Perform prototyping, pilot production, and validation testing Support pre-production and SOP readiness RFQ & Design Feasibility Evaluate RFQs and prepare feasibility studies Develop conceptual designs and revisions Prepare cost-effective design solutions Manufacturing & Quality Support Collaborate with production teams to improve manufacturability and lead times Drive reliability improvements and reduce field failures Work with suppliers and support purchasing for technical alignment Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify design improvements (cost, functionality, DFM) Drive innovation and develop optimized engineering solutions Maintain SOPs and process documentation Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards Stakeholder Coordination Interface with internal teams and customers for design discussions and updates Provide technical recommendations and analysis insights Candidate Profile Education BE / ME – Mechanical / Automobile / Production Experience 3–5 years in product engineering Preferably in pneumatic / hydraulic / automotive components Technical Skills Proficiency in Creo (preferred) Hands-on experience with MS Excel and MS Office Exposure to FEA tools (Ansys / Pro-Mechanica) Knowledge of plastic, sheet metal, rubber, and casting design Standards Knowledge Understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 Additional Information Work Location: Pune (Office-based role) No travel required About Company Aera Gas Control Systems Pvt.
