Job description Position: Assistant Manager CNC Programming & FAI Proving Location: Maheshwaram-Tukkuguda Department: Production / Manufacturing Engineering Reports To: Manager Manufacturing / Head CNC Operations Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Manager CNC Programming & FAI Proving to lead CNC programming, part proving, and process optimization activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with multi-axis machining (4th/5th axis), strong CAM programming expertise, and proven ability in First Article Inspection (FAI) validation for precision components in aerospace, defence, or automotive domains. Key Responsibilities: Develop CNC Programs for VMC, HMC, Turn-Mill, and 4/5-axis machines using CAM software. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) proving and validate machining accuracy on the shop floor. Estimate machining hours for new components and support costing teams with accurate cycle time data. Optimize machining parameters, tool selection, and cutting strategies to enhance productivity and tool life. Train and guide machine operators on program understanding, setup practices, and machining techniques. Troubleshoot CNC program-related and process issues during trials or production runs. Coordinate with Methods, Quality, Design, and Vendor teams to ensure smooth new part development and approval. Education & Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Experience Required: Minimum: 7-14 years in CNC programming and proving Ideal: 7-10 years with exposure to multi-axis (4th/5th axis) machining and estimation activities Preferred Domain: Aerospace, Defence, Precision Machining, or Automotive Key Skills: CNC Programming & CAM Expertise Proficiency Mastercam. Machining Time Estimation Ability to calculate accurate cycle times and machining hours for costing. Machine Proving & FAI Hands-on experience in first article proving and dimensional validation. Cutting Tools & Process Optimization Strong understanding of tool selection, speeds/feeds, and productivity improvement. Team Training & Troubleshooting Capability to mentor operators and resolve shop-floor program issues effectively. Preferred Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
